September’s MKEBKE Monthly Group Bike Ride is on Thursday, September 27th. We’ll be meeting at 8pm in front of People’s Books Cooperative, located in it’s new Riverwest home, 805 E. Center Street.
“Started as a one-time-turned-monthly underwear bike ride a few summers ago, MKEBKE is excited to continue a fun, monthly group ride open to any and all riders. If you haven’t been on one, you’re sure to seen or heard of a fun-loving group of riders showing Milwaukee roads some two-wheeled love. These group rides are just for fun, anyone and everyone is welcome. I encourage you to come check out the ride, socialize, and enjoy yourselves.”
(Just for clarity, this is just a normal social group ride. We organize the underwear bike rides which have had some tremendous turnouts, but there’s a lot of other fun group rides, races, and other events happening all the time in Milwaukee, and I’d love to see and encourage more folks come out and enjoy themselves at those just the same.)
We’ll be ending the ride at the Riverwest Public House Cooperative, who are welcoming back the Bike Smut Film Festival that night, now in it’s 6th year and 4th year apassing through Milwaukee. They have an 8pm showing of “Bike Smut 6: Turning TriXXX” at the same time the ride is meeting, and will feature a second showing later that night when we return from the ride. The $5 cover at the door goes towards the continual support of the film festival, and the inviduals travelling from city-to-city worldwide to showcase the film festival.
