“As a part of our partnership with OnMilwaukee.com and Potawatomi Bingo Casino’s Miracle on Canal Street, the Milwaukee Bicycle Collective is proud to be able to be able to give away 15 brand new youth bikes. By turning in a both written essay and a drawing expressing your love of bicycling, your child could win. Along with these brand new bikes each recipient will also receive a new light, lock, and helmet set.
And on top of that, 15 other winners will also receive a new light, lock, and helmet set.
Entries must be submitted or postmarked by Monday, November 26, 2012. Volunteers will go over all of the submissions and announce the winners on December 3, 2012. Winners will be able to pick up their prizes on December 12, 2012.
1.) Only one submission per youth will be accepted.
2.) Submissions must be submitted or postmarked by Monday, November 26, 2012. This is the Monday following Thanksgiving Weekend.
3.) The participant must submit an essay about why they like to ride a bike, or why they want to get a new bike. The essay does not have any length requirements, but obviously it should be written well enough to impress our volunteers.
4.) The participant must submit a drawing. The drawing can be anything related to riding a bike. It doesn’t have to be any specific medium or size, but it should be drawn with enough heart to impress our volunteers.
5.) An entry form must accompany the submission. If you cannot print this entry form, don’t worry, a hand-written entry form will be accepted.
6.) Youth age 7-17 are qualified to win.
7.) The essay and the drawing must be done by the youth, but parents are strongly encouraged to work with their children.
8.) The youth must be from the City of Milwaukee.
9.) A parent or court appointed legal guardian must be present with the youth in order to pick up the bike. Winners must pick up their bike on any of our open days (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays) on or before December 12th.
10.) Each submission requires an entry form. This form must contain the (1) name of the youth, (2) the age of the youth, (3) the height of the child, (4) their address, (5) their phone number, (6) their email address (optional), (7) the name of their school, (8) the name of their parent(s)/guardian(s) and (9) a parent/guardian’s signature.
11.) Winners must allow their submissions to be used in Bike Collective collateral material, including print and web.
12.) Winners may be photographed receiving their bikes. If so, they must allow photographs to be used in Bike Collective, OnMilwaukee.com, and Potawatomi’s Miracle on Canal Street collateral material, including print and web.
