The Milwaukee Underwear Bike Ride is back for its third summer of monthly rides. Join us on Thursday, June 14th for the first underwear ride of this summer!
“This is a group ride just for fun, and to promote positive self body image. Anyone and everyone is welcome!”
The ride meets where it all started as a one-time bike ride for Steve’s birthday a couple summers ago, the empty lot on Brady and Warren. We’re all meeting at 8pm, and leaving soon after. Please make sure to show up on time if you want patches and pins for the ride (asking for a small $1-2 donation).
Hundreds of bicyclists riding by and cheering in their skivvies will surely turn some smiling heads, but what about the potentially embarassing ride alone to the meet with everyone? Fear not! We encourage everyone to ride down in clothes that they’re willing to strip out of and donate at the meet spot. We’ll be donating all the clothing to St. Vincent de Paul.
If you can carry one safely, bring a small stereo with you on the ride. We’re all tuning into 88Nine Radio Milwaukee to play the soundtrack to our night as we cruise the streets of Milwaukee.
Afterparty is at Bruno’s On Brady, located at 1329 E. Brady. $1 PBR & rail shots, great record player that plays old 45′s at $1/5 songs.
What to bring: smile, positive attitude, ID, underwear, lights, bike lock, face paint, construction worker vests!
What not to bring: negative attitudes, reckless behavior, sandals, rollerblades
Please ride safely and be respectful of others around you. We will be riding at a group pace, and following the rules of the road (i.e. staying in our lane, stopping at red lights, etc.). Remember to bring your bike lights!
