August’s MKEBKE Monthly Group Bike Ride is on Thursday, August 30th. We’ll be meeting at 8pm at the empty lot on North and Oakland, across the street from the Beans & Barley parking lot.
“Started as a one-time-turned-monthly underwear bike ride a couple summers ago, MKEBKE is excited to continue a fun, monthly group ride open to any and all riders. If you haven’t been on one, you’re sure to seen or heard of a fun-loving group of riders showing Milwaukee roads some two-wheeled love. These group rides are just for fun, anyone and everyone is welcome. I encourage you to come check out the ride, socialize, and enjoy yourselves.”
Just for clarity, this is just a normal social group ride. We organize the underwear bike rides which have had some tremendous turnouts, but there’s a lot of other fun group rides, races, and other events happening all the time in Milwaukee, and I’d love to see and encourage more folks come out and enjoy themselves at those just the same.
If you happen to make your way down that way earlier, the Onion Society for Beer Enjoyment are hosting an event that night at the Eastsider, which is also on the corner of North and Oakland. They’ll be tapping a free keg of Riverwest Stein at 7pm, but you have to RSVP to enjoy. Click here for more information.
